of sign painting under apprenticeship for a sign company, it was mandatory
to master the three basic types of letter styles, "Gothic, Roman and Script"
before attempting to letter an actual sign for a paying customer. All signeage
and advertising, even today consists of these three styles. Combining this
knowledge with all of the other techniques taught here will surely pay
off for you as it has for me.
